KAREN ADLER | PRINCIPLE

Karen Adler is an officer and principal at Adler Properties, where she plays a vital role as a member of the investment committee. Karen brings a wealth of experience and expertise, providing valuable insights that inform the company’s strategic decision-making. With her deep knowledge of the real estate industry and her keen business acumen, Karen is a trusted advisor to the company’s leadership team and plays an instrumental role in guiding the company’s operations. Her contributions are critical to Adler Properties’ success and continued growth.  

Prior to her role at Adler, Karen was the Chief Executive Officer of Bromor Management LLC, the family office for the Andrea and Charles Bronfman family.

 From 1993 to 1997, Karen served as the Regional Administrator for the General Services Administration. During her time in that position, she oversaw the development, construction, leasing, operation, and management of the US federal government’s real estate. Karen also developed and executed an agency-wide program aimed at optimizing GSA’s organization structure and operations-(the government organization’s operations.) Before joining the Clinton Administration, Karen held management positions in finance, government, and politics.  

Before joining the Clinton Administration, Karen worked in both the public and private sectors in a management role focusing on finance, government, and politics. Through the Adler-Greenwald Family Fund Karen actively contributes to philanthropic endeavors in three primary areas: Israel and the American Jewish Community, American Democratic Principles and Expanding Citizen Participation, Empowering Women and Girls to Fully Participate in All Aspects of Society. She previously served as the President of the Jewish Communal Fund of New York. Karen currently holds positions on several Executive Committees and Boards, including the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, B’nai Jeshurun Synagogue, the New Israel Fund, and the FDR Library at Hyde Park. She is also a member of the Board of Plaza Jewish Community Chapel and several other national and international organizations committed to furthering the family’s philanthropic goals.  

Karen Adler holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University, a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from Northeastern University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University. Karen is married to Laurence Greenwald, and they have two sons and five grandchildren.
